Back again!!

Hello all, allow me to update you on the past..... hmm few months..

We have had many guests and traveled many places and I have gotten more and more pregnant since the last post. As of today, Francois and I have 9 weeks until the birth of our little baby boy!!
( This was taken at 30 weeks, we now know our baby is a little more than 3lbs, and doing just fine, he is actually in the 75% for weight, so he might be a big baby. Francois was 9lbs... if that happens to me... we will have PROBLEMS! Wake me up when it's over!)

I guess the biggest thing that Francois and I have done is visit his family in France, where
Francois and ran I Mont Blanc. Francois ran the half marathon ( 13.1) miles and I ran the 10K ( 6.2) miles ( 6 months preggers) ... Francois did amazing, the terrain was very difficult.
( Finishing the 10K with Victoire and Gregoire!!! What a great experience!! Baby's first race in the Alps!!)
( Francois finishing his 13.1 miles, it took him 3:49 to finish, Francois usually finishes a 26  mile race in 3:20... that lets you know how hard this race actually was, and he really did not train!! Such an Athlete!)

( Francou and me at the top!! )

( having a crepe after the run, the BEST energy replacement!)
( the entire Family at the top)

We also traveled to Switzerland, stayed in a chalet in Morzine,France,  and hiked for many miles in the Alps. I always enjoy spending time with Francois' family, they are so lively and  loving. I think the funniest part of the trip is that Francois and I had to travel back to the states with a stroller, and no baby.  As we landed back home on the 4th of July, Francois and I watched fireworks from the sky, it was beautiful!!

( Francois training to be a dad with his book)

After settling back home for a couple of weeks, we had visitors. Victoire, our niece from France stayed with us for 2 weeks. She traveled all by her self , at the age of 11! Her first week she went to a tennis camp at the family circle cup on Daniel Island.

( We were so proud that Victoire traveled all the way from Paris by herself!!)

( Victoire with her favorite uncle!!)

( Victoire, playing with Cooper at Sullivan's Island, Cooper's favorite place )

( Victoire toured around Charleston, and she couldn't miss the Citadel , where Francois spent his college years)

The second week our friend Tracy and her son Aiden came to visit. Victoire was missing her two little brothers and i think Aiden helped to fill that void.

( Francois and Victoire PLaying at the Waterfront Park, I am sure that Francois felt very sick after this!!)

Sorry for the quick update, right now we are planing on counting the weeks down until the birth, meanwhile visiting some family and friends. One of my best friends, Lane Blackwelder, just had her first baby boy Jacob, and i may visit her to get a couple of pointers.

We expect Caroline, Francois' sister and his mother to arrive October 14th.. in hope to be here for the arrival of the baby. If the baby has not come, Caroline will put some of her midwifery skills to use and convince the baby it is time!! The due date is October 22nd!! I hope to have another post until then, and i may even find another website to use, this one is hard to upload pics and use with a mac.

I know that i will have lots to share when the baby boy arrives!!! We cannot wait for you all to meet him. As you may also know my brother and his wife are expecting twins, and NO they do not run in our family... it is not a genetic thing... because they are identical... it is more of a cell splitting miracle thing...  My parents will be grandparents 3 times this year!!! crazy 2009!!!

We are all very excited and cannot wait!!! Talk to you soon!

Real Quick

Just to catch you up to now,  Francois and I have been, of course, working hard. I think i worked 7 days in a row with one day off in between... I did not plan that! I know that I was not the woman Francois married after all that !! Whew!

Let's see. Cooper also had an exciting week after we returned from New York. He was SUPER sick.  I took him to the vet when there was no more to left in coop, if you know what I mean. He was given a 500 ml fluid bolus, antibacterial meds, and anti-nausea meds. Poor Coop!! He is all better now!!

The next weekend I went to judge an America's Jr. Miss program, Edgecombe County.  I was judging interview, presence and poise, talent and fitness. What an experience Here is a pic of the past winners. It was also great to be back home where i could relax, FINALLY!

After this excitement, Francois' parent flew in from France and stayed for two weeks. They spent their time reading, going to the gym, dining out, and just relaxing. Meanwhile, they were planing a big  trip cross country on route 66. They will be gone approx 1 month and then return to Charleston for another 2 weeks.

I just returned from Asheville and Tarboro in one weekend, where i threw my friend Stassa a bridal shower one day and drove to Tarboro to surprise my dad for his birthday the next!! Needless to say.... We have been busy!!!!!!!

Pictures to follow... just wanted to get this out

Monday, Feb 16th... Last Day.. Tourist 100%..well maybe

So today, we decided to play full blown Tourist!! We got up early and went to NBC studios for the Today show. I guess we weren't 100% tourist because a better tourist would have been there at 6:30am... we got there at 7:15am.. pushed our way through the crowd only to look at the back of the heads of Al Roker and Meredith Viera.  ( 90% tourist)

We could have jumped in front of others to get our one wave to " Mom" but, we opted out and took pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Potato head. ( 85% tourist)

Next we waited outside NBC studio to get some info on a NBC tour possibly later that day ( 89% tourist)

We didn't realize the line was forming to be the 1 of the first 50 people in line to see Patricia Arquette and receive a copy of her TV series Medium... we opted out, not interested, grabbed our mini info packets and left ( 70% tourist)

We then went back to the hotel to workout... in the hotel gym ( 80% tourist) then booked our tickets for a "On Location TV & Movie Tour" ( 100% tourist)

I think Francois slept a little during the ride ( 70% tourist) , however he managed to be awarded a lollipop after answering a trivia question on " I am Legend"..

Question: " What  is the largest loop hole of the entire movie...." Francois states, " They blow the bridge up.. therefore no one can get on the island and it is near impossible for the other people to save Will Smith and make it on the island without a way to get there"

As a matter of fact, Francois was the first tourist to guess this answer out of 200 some odd tours that our tour guide had given.. Hearing that, Francois finessed another lollipop .

We also stopped at the sites of "Friends apartment", Cosby show, Spiderman's apartment, countless Enchanted scenes.. managed to see flyers out for shootings of upcoming 30 rock episodes.. If you see a sheet of paper on a pole or anything... it usually tells you what is being shot and at what time.. for example..

Anyway, every time, we would stop.. Francois and I would listen  and then quickly make our way back to the bus... I think the SNL and Will Ferrell shows spoiled us ( 50% tourist) we left the other 50% to the German, Swiss, English, Greek, and French tourist. Here are some tourist shots we took .. ( 100% tourist)

( I am Legend House of Will Smith)

Peter Parker's Apartment in Spiderman II

Grace Adler's Design business in TV show Will and Grace

Cosby's house... however, as you  know in the show.. the stair case to go upstairs is on the right hand side ... so.. if this outside shot is correct.. they would be going up in the neighbors house. This is  what they call an "establishing shot".  They use this shot to have you think this is where they lived. The owner of the house actually got 1,000 dollars, every time it was shown. And did you know, that the original Heathcliff and Clair Huxtable were written to be a Limo driver and plumber ... since it would be impossible to believe they could afford a home in that area... they had to be Doctor and Lawyer

Friends apartment on the corner of Bedford and Grove Street

As we made our way off the bus, we headed to FAO Schwartz and managed to check out a new Whatnot shop of Muppet Making. It was really neat, creepy .. and neat.

AFTER ALL THIS... we took our 35 dollar cab back to the airport and hurried home to our little Boy BABBERS!! ...... our dog Cooper :) What a Fantastic trip!!!
